Pre-appointment instructions


Preparing for your Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) scan.  Please watch this very short video.

  • If you have a pacemaker or medically fitted device you should not scan
  • If you are knowingly pregnant, the results maybe unreliable and we do not recommend scanning
  • Do not eat a large meal within the three hours prior to your appointment
  • Do not do any strenuous exercise including a workout or sports game within the three hours prior to your appointment
  • Do drink approximately 500ml of water within the last thirty minutes prior to your appointment
  • You will be required to remove your socks and shoes for this assessment
